Jason Kelce can’t hold back emotion when discussing Jalen Hurts’s frustrations with the Eagles

The path the Philadelphia Eagles are taking in 2025 is steering them toward defending their title in Super Bowl LX. Their record gives them an almost insurmountable advantage over their divisional rivals in the NFC East. Their closest pursuers are the Dallas Cowboys, yet there is little indication that Dallas can catch up.

With an 8-2 record this season, one might assume everything is harmonious inside the Eagles’ facilities, but reality tells a very different story. The ongoing controversies involving Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown have done little to foster a healthy atmosphere within the team.

Amid this backdrop, former center Jason Kelce has spoken out, offering his perspective on the turmoil unfolding within his former team and the soap-opera dynamic that has emerged between the quarterback and the franchise’s top receiver.

The opinion of Jason Kelce on the controversy between Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown

Jason Kelce became a defining figure for the Eagles during his playing career, and now in retirement, he has taken the time to comment on the issues affecting the team he continues to cherish.

There are frustrations within a team that build up continually.” “I think Jalen gets a lot of the highlighting of that because he’s the quarterback.

Kelce said on Thursday via 94 WIP Sports Radio.

He then shared an anecdote involving lineman Lane Johnson, with whom he did not speak for an entire season, yet both consistently prioritized the team’s success despite personal differences.

This thing brings out emotions and sides of people because you all want to win so bad.

Hurts, he added, can continue to perform even if harmony between the two players is lacking; the priority, in his view, must always be the greater good of the team.

DeSean Jackson also weighs in on the Hurts-Brown saga

In an episode of DeSean Jackson’s podcast, House of Action, he addressed the tension between the players, noting the visible disconnect on the field.

As you can tell, it’s something else going on. And I got a great relationship with him. I respect him. I can’t say it. But I know it’s something else going on… I’ve had situationships with quarterbacks that I didn’t necessarily like. I’m gonna just be honest. And when it ain’t there, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Before the situation spirals into self-destruction, Jalen Hurts and A.J. Brown must find a way to resolve their issues and stay focused on the path that could lead them to yet another Super Bowl appearance, a shared objective that remains unchanged despite internal tensions and the demanding nature of an NFL season, underscoring the urgency with which they must act to preserve unity and competitive momentum ahead now.
