Jason Kelce let his presence be felt on the football field when he played for the Philadelphia Eagles during 13 seasons.
The former University of Cincinnati Bearcat made the Pro Bowl seven times and earned first-team All-Pro honors in six of his last seven seasons.
Kelce was key during the Eagles’ Super Bowl win in the 2017 campaign, taking down the greatest quarterback of all time – Tom Brady – and the legendary New England Patriots, lead by iconic head coach Bill Belichick. Philadelphia was actually the underdog in that championship game.
Jason Kelce and Chris Stapleton were left speechless
Jason Kelce is a big music guy, and along former teammates Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata, formed a band called The Philly Specials. And they are actually pretty good, dropping three holiday albums and becoming unlikely chart stars, attracting artists to collaborate and raising big sums for charity with each release.
And as country legend George Strait and eleven-time Grammy winner Chris Stapleton gave a stadium concert at Lincoln Financial Field – home of the Philadelphia Eagles -, Kelce and Mailata took the opportunity to meet the iconic musicians before the show.
Mailata went even further, as he serenaded Stapleton, who was left speechless as he got to witness the massive talent the Super Bowl champion has when it comes to singing. Jason Kelce was really excited to see his former teammate shine.
Jason and Travis Kelce reminisced about their childhood
In a fun and heartwarming Mother’s Day episode of the very popular podcast “New Heights,” Jason and Travis Kelce were chatting about their childhood and their upbringing. Like good brothers, they didn’t escape fighting daily until they grew to strengthen their bond and became inseparable.
In the chat, Donna Kelce said that although taking care of them growing up has been “the most overwhelming task” she has ever taken on, it never limited them. Even with a full-time job at a bank and two young children who “never stopped moving,” she made sure they both grew up together.
However, their parents’ efforts to bring them together left an anecdote of how it made Travis feel: “I think that’s what you and dad did a great job of is that you forced Jason to be my friend, and by doing this, Jason would then just torture me.”
