As Patrick and Brittany Mahomes joyfully announced the arrival of their third child, Golden Raye Mahomes, on January 12, Jason and Kylie Kelce find themselves in a baby-naming dilemma for their fourth daughter.
The Kelce family, much like their Kansas City Chiefs counterparts, appears to favor gender-neutral names for their growing brood-a trend that continues to capture attention.
The Mahomes family’s unique naming choices-Sterling Skye, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, and now Golden Raye-have sparked admiration for their creativity and inclusivity.
While Patrick and Brittany have kept the inspiration behind their names private, their preference for names that transcend traditional gender norms is evident.
Similarly, Kylie Kelce has embraced the gender-neutral trend for her daughters Wyatt, Elliott, and Bennett.
During the January 9 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie candidly discussed the challenge of finding the perfect name for baby number four.
“Going on the fourth child, it’s like a disaster. You’ve already used them all up. All bets are off,” she shared.

Kylie added that sticking with gender-neutral names helps maintain balance among her daughters.

The Mahomes’ holiday wish fulfilled
For Patrick Mahomes, timing was everything as he juggled his NFL season with the impending arrival of his third child.
During the Chiefs’ Christmas Day clash against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the star quarterback joked about his wife Brittany’s nerves, saying, “I’ve been stressing her out too much this season.”
Mahomes even expressed hope that the baby’s arrival would coincide with the Chiefs’ bye week.
As fate would have it, Mahomes secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC, earning a well-timed bye week.
True to his word, the baby arrived shortly after. Following Golden Raye‘s birth, Patrick reflected on the moment.
“I told my pregnant wife I was gonna get her the number one seed so we can go have that baby. So, we got that number one seed,” he said.
