Paul, a YouTuber and influencer turned boxer, is known for his cockiness and an ego that sometimes prevents him from seeing the capabilities of his level, although his results have been favorable in most cases.
But Paul has never faced someone of the quality of Mike Tyson, one of the most recognized heavyweight champions on the planet and a living boxing legend.
Tyson totalled 50 victories in his career as a professional boxer, with 44 wins by knockout, and many of those knockouts were even in the first three rounds of his fights.
After many weeks of preparation for the fight that will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, it seems Paul is finally realizing the magnitude of the opponent he is going to face.
Paul’s compliment to Tyson
‘The Problem Child’ came face to face with Iron Mike in the pre-fight Face 2 Face, and after his traditional cockiness, Paul got serious and acknowledged the qualities of Tyson, “the baddest man on the planet”.
This is the baddest man on the planet, the heavyweight. I mean, just look at the damn guy sitting here right now. He’s an animal.
“She posts pictures on Instagram and I get a little scared of how good she looks, but I have to get on the level, that’s what Jake Paul’s story is all about,” he added.
Paul confessed that even his mother is afraid to see Tyson throw a punch, and gives credit to the former heavyweight champion for having the “deadliest” hook in the game.
“My mom is texting… She can’t even see Tyson’s punches. She doesn’t want to see it because she’s scared,” Paul said, referring to the videos that have been published with Tyson and his devastating training sessions.

Paul’s surprising gift to Tyson
In an unexpected twist during the conference between the two fighters, something happened that no one expected.
It is well known that Mike Tyson has a fondness for pigeons, as, in the words of Iron Mike, his first fight was because of a pigeon, when a bully killed his pet.
Now, Paul gave Tyson a pigeon, which was well received by the former world champion who said, “It looks like a low-budget pedigree,” Tyson joked, to which Paul replied: “I paid thousands of dollars for that.”
