One of the most anticipated fights of the year is Jake Paul against Julio Cesar Chavez, which will represent one of the most challenging fights for the controversial American boxer, as well as a golden opportunity to silence a large sector of fans who accuse him of constantly choosing lower level opponents, and not taking boxing with the seriousness that a discipline with so much history deserves

On the other hand, for the son of the legend, this is also a golden opportunity to prove that he has overcome all the controversies that have accompanied him throughout his long career and that he is in shape to face a fighter 11 years younger.

Jake Paul vs Chavez Jr. predictions

Chavez Jr. is the most experienced opponent ‘The Problem Child’ has faced, however, Paul will have the advantage that this fight will not be in the category where Chavez Jr. has shown his best performance.

The fight will be held at cruiserweight, a considerably heavier division than middleweight, where the Mexican had his heyday more than a decade ago.

But as part of Jake Paul’s strengths is his great physical condition, as he arrives with a career on the rise and a recent history of activity and constant training

While the 39-year-old Chavez Jr. goes into the fight lacking rhythm, he has an impressive record of 54 wins, six losses and one draw behind him, giving him a clear advantage in terms of experience.

Jake Paul vs Chavez Jr. betting

Even so, Jake Paul is the favorite, with odds of -710, while Chavez Jr.’s victory has odds of +500, and +1600 for a draw.

Jack Paul vs Chavez Jr predictions

Various boxing experts have shared their predictions for this fight: Josh Peter of USA Today points out that Paul will win by technical knockout in the ninth round, arguing that the American’s youth and punching power will make the difference.

C. Jackson Cowart from Sportsbook Review: agrees with the prediction, pointing to Paul as the winner by decision or TKO in the middle or late rounds, highlighting the preparation and discipline of the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

OddsShark considers the winner of the fight to be Paul by KO/TKO, with odds of +140. It notes that unless Chavez Jr. reappears in excellent form, Paul has the tools to win.

When and where to watch the Jake Paul vs Chavez Jr fight?

This fight will take place on June 28 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, with a start time of 8:00 p.m. ET and 5:00 p.m. PT. The estimated time for the main fight is 11:00 p.m. ET and 8:00 p.m. PT
