Jake Paul throws punches at Canelo Alvarez and Chavez Jr. in a bizarre pre-fight move

Jake Paul is back at it and no one’s surprised. With just days left before he steps into the ring against Julio César Chávez Jr.,Paul is doing what he does best: stirring the pot, creating buzz, and making headlines. But this time, he’s not just coming after his opponent he’s throwing shade at Mexican boxing royalty, including none other than Canelo Álvarez.

In a video posted to Instagram, Jake took his trolling to another level. Dressed in a cliché Mexican outfit, a colorful sarape, oversized sombrero, and even shaking a maraca he stepped into a ring where papier-mâché piñatas of Chávez Jr. and Canelo hung from above. Without hesitation, he began to punch, swing, and taunt the dangling figures while grinning at the camera. The caption? Brutal: “Chávez will be my piñata on Saturday then Canelo is the next.”

Jake Paul taunts Canelo and Chávez Jr. like never before

This kind of trash talk is classic Jake Paul. While some call it disrespectful, others see it as pure promotion fueling interest in a matchup that already has boxing fans curious. Paul’s style is all flash and fire outside the ring, but on June 28, the talking stops, and it’s time to fight.

The bout will air live on DAZN from Las Vegas, where Jake Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) will try to prove that he can hold his own against a real boxer with pedigree. Julio César Chávez Jr. (54-6, 34 KOs), son of the legendary Mexican icon, has had a rocky career, but his experience and natural talent still make him a serious threat especially to someone like Jake, who’s still earning respect in the boxing world.

Saturday’s fight will answer a lot of questions: Is Jake Paul ready to take on someone with real boxing blood? Will Chávez Jr. silence the internet celebrity once and for all? Or will Jake’s antics and fists do the talking?

In the ring, there are no maracas, no piñatas, and no Instagram captions. Just punches. And the only voice that matters will be the one raised at the final bell. Who’s turning into the piñata this time?
