The rivalry between >Jake Paul and Tommy Fury remains one of the most talked-about feuds in boxing. Since suffering his only professional loss to Fury in February 2023, the influencer-turned-boxer has relentlessly pursued a rematch-most recently with a verbal jab aimed squarely at his rival.
Over two years ago, after a string of victories against fellow influencers, Paul stepped into the ring with a professional boxer for the first time. The result: an eight-round split-decision loss to Fury-an outcome Paul hadn’t anticipated.
Since then, “The Problem Child” has taken on more seasoned opponents, including former champions Mike Tyson and Julio César Chávez Jr. Still, the sting of defeat at the hands of Tyson Fury’s younger brother lingers.
Paul has repeatedly claimed that negotiations for a rematch are ongoing, but no agreement has been reached. Frustrated, he recently took a not-so-subtle shot at Fury online.
Paul’s verbal uppercut
After his bout with Gervonta Davis was canceled and securing a new fight against Anthony Joshua next month, Paul took to X (formerly Twitter) to celebrate-and to throw shade at Fury.
“Respect to all the fighters that said yes,” Paul wrote, referring to those considered as replacements for Davis. “We had to put all options on the table and make a decision.”
Then came the punchline:
“Guess who didn’t say yes-even for $15 million? B*tch made. You and your father control everything you do. You are not a man. You are a boy. Daddy’s little boy.”
Fury didn’t stay silent. He quickly clapped back, accusing Paul of making an offer he knew couldn’t be accepted.
Fury fires back
“Offering me the fight in America… a place you know I can’t get to right now. Convenient,” Fury replied. “Offer me the same $15 million anywhere else in the world, and I’ll be there in eight weeks to shut you up.”
He didn’t stop there. “And ‘daddy’s little boy’? If anyone’s a son here, it’s you… I gave you your first L.”
The war of words is far from over. But for now, Paul is focused on his upcoming clash with Joshua, scheduled for December 19 at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida-another step on his path toward a world title shot.
