It looks as though there is still plenty of bad blood between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury.
The two initially met in the ring back in February 2023, and with the match ending in a split decision, fans have been hoping to see the two square off again.
However, talks between the two sides have so far proven inconclusive despite Netflix reportedly offering a huge figure for the rematch to take place. As a result the two men have dedicated their time to different opponents – Paul defeating Mike Tyson on points, and Fury set to take on Darren Till on January 18.
Nevertheless fans are still holding out hope for a rematch, and Paul himself recently took aim at Fury in a now deleted tweet.
Paul stated that Fury rejected an offer of $8 million to fight again, writing: “Offered Fury $8M to fight on Netflix.
“He turned it down and now fighting an MMA fighter…Now tell me who is running?
“Stupid daddy controlled kid, protected from the inevitable.”
Does Paul want to face Fury?
Although Paul called out Fury in the tweet, he has a lengthy list of opponents ready to fight him in the ring like Daniel Dubois and Carl Froch.
Despite that, Paul has made it clear he wants to fight current super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez as he has regularly called him out in recent months.
“He knows he wants a payday. So, he knows where the money man is at,” Paul said after defeating Tyson.
“He’s going to want a payday and I want to show the world what I’ve been talking about, beating Canelo is true and I’ll have the biggest upset in the history of boxing.”
