Jake Paul has gained a lot of followers thanks to his audacity, although his comments also generate a lot of criticism. For example, when he mentioned the late heavyweight Muhammad Ali, a name he seems to be obsessed with, before his fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr

The YouTuber-turned-boxer told DAZN in an interview: “Everyone else is just trying to control access or say they do things for the sport or that something is bad for boxing, but I’m the best thing that’s happened to boxing since Muhammad Ali. ” These statements have generated more negative opinions against the influencer than positive ones.

Muhammad Ali famously took a photo of himself sitting on a pile of banknotes in 1963 for an edition of Sports Illustrated, which largely symbolized his dominance at the time. Now, as Jake Paul prepares to take on Gervonta Davis in an exhibition boxing match on November 14, the YouTuber believes his era has finally begun. He recreated the iconic photo and posted it on X with the caption: “Welcome to my era”.

In addition to the bravado that Paul usually shows in his statements, the image also suggests that the heavyweight legend has been, in some way, a source of inspiration for him.
