Comparing yourself to the likes of Joe Louis, Roberto Duran, Julio Cesar Chavez or Mike Tyson is not something just anyone does. However, YouTuber Jake Paul dared to do so after claiming that he is the best thing that has ever existed in pugilism since the legendary Muhammad Ali.

The American boxer emboldened himself ahead of his fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., son of the Mexican legend. Paul will fight at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. However, the influencer recalled that he has supported women’s boxing: “I have made women go from earning $1,000 to 5, 6, 7 million dollars”.

What did Jake Paul say about Julio Cesar Chavez Jr?

About his next opponent, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. only had three words to describe him, and was critical in pointing out that “he’s an idiot,” adding that “to me, he hasn’t done anything in this sport. He hasn’t helped other fighters, he doesn’t have a foundation. He’s not elevating anyone, he’s not putting on cards, I don’t think he takes this sport seriously.”

“I’m going to show the world that I’m the King of Boxing, the one who does the biggest events, the one who elevates more boxers and the one who organizes the most important cards time and time again,” said the Cleveland, Ohio, fighter to DAZN.

Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr: Price to watch the event

The fight will take place at the Honda Center, Anaheim, California, at 22:00 Mexican time. The event will be available on pay-per-view (PPV) through the DAZN platform, both on its app and on the official website, at a cost of $19.99.
