It seems that Jake Paul has found a formula for fighting against older ex-fighters, and now there is talk of a possible new opponent for “The Problem Child”.
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, 46, announced that he will fight Rashad Evans for a second time sometime in 2025 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Almost 15 years ago, Evans overcame Rampage when they fought at UFC 114 by defeating him by unanimous decision, but now both fighters are thinking of getting into a ring, according to “Rampage” announced on his social networks.
Jackson posted a poster on his Instagram account that puts him face to face with Evans and titled it “ICS MANIA I: BOXING SHOWDOWN.”
In the post, Jackson added: “Did you think it was over? No. It’s time to settle this once and for all! Rashad ‘Suga’ Evans got me last time, but that was then, this is NOW. Albuquerque, New Mexico | 2025 (TBD).
“This is not just a fight; it’s a showdown. Let’s see if Suga can handle Rampage 2.0. Stay tuned for the venue and PPV details.”
And “Sugar” did not lag behind in promoting the fight. He confirmed on his social networks that it is actually something that is going to happen.
Jake Paul’s next opponent?
After this announcement, everyone related the fight to Jake Paul, and with the desire to see “Rampage” use his devastating power in the ring against “The Problem Child”, which excited fans a little more who place Jackson as the next MMA opponent to box against Jake Paul.
Although some of them criticised Paul, who has a habit of boxing against retired MMA fighters.
“Rampage, you have to fight Jake Paul in MMA and teach him a lesson. He’s always disrespecting old MMA fighters,” one fan said.
With nothing confirmed, but with the probability in the air of seeing a fight between Paul and “Rampage”, we will have to wait to see first the potential rematch between Jackson and Evans, which will surely be one of the main attractions for fans throughout this year that has just begun.
