Emanuele Galeppini, an Italian golf prospect, is among the missing in the Crans Montana tragedy, in which around 40 people have died and there are more than 100 injured, some of them seriously.

The Italian Golf Federation lamented “the death of Emanuele Galeppini, a young sportsman who embodied passion and authentic values. In this moment of deep sorrow, our thoughts are with his family and all his loved ones. Emanuele, you will always be in our hearts”.

The player’s mobile phone was found in the morgue where the bodies of the victims of this terrible event are taken, but DNA tests are still needed to confirm that the remains belong to the young Italian. That is why his family is still hopeful. “For now, Emanuele is still on the list of missing persons and we are waiting for the DNA results. There may still be hope,” Sebastiano Galeppini told ‘Adnkronos’.
