It didn’t take Shedeur Sanders long, and he has already matched Tom Brady

It’s starting to feel inevitable: Shedeur Sanders is destined to be a star in the NFL. His Week 14 performance against the Tennessee Titans-a true clash against the most recent No. 1 overall pick (Cam Ward)-was yet another reminder of that.

It didn’t take Shedeur Sanders long, and he has already matched Tom Brady

In a sport where “coincidences” rarely exist, the Cleveland Browns’ QB1 just matched a statistical line from the greatest of all time: Tom Brady.

Shedeur Sanders joins Tom Brady in the GOAT in the record books

CBS Sports highlighted it: Shedeur Sanders and Tom Brady are now the only two quarterbacks in NFL history to throw for exactly 364 passing yards in their third career start.

Browns fans are finally getting what they’ve been dreaming of. The fifth-round rookie finished with 364 passing yards, 3 passing TDs, 29 rushing yards, and a rushing touchdown. The only sour note: he drove the offense into the red zone in the final minutes but wasn’t on the field for the two-point conversion attempt. Cleveland went Wildcat with rookie running back Quinshon Judkins, and the play failed – resulting in a heartbreaking 31-29 loss.

Beyond matching Brady, Sanders also became just the second rookie in NFL history to record 350+ passing yards, 3+ passing TDs, and a rushing TD in the same game – joining Joe Burrow (2020) in that exclusive club.

Shedeur Sanders rises to Joe Burrow’s level, staking his claim as the Browns’ QB1

On Monday, head coach Kevin Stefanski officially confirmed that Shedeur Sanders will be the Browns’ starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

The only question left: what took so long?
