Injured Giants star Cam Skattebo goes viral after a brutal WWE hand-throwing rampage

Cam Skattebo, the injured rookie running back for the New York Giants, went viral this week after appearing on WWE Monday Night Raw and unleashing a full-on hand-throwing confrontation with members of The Judgment Day.

It was an unexpected scene for a player who is still recovering from a major ankle injury, and one that instantly lit up social media following Skattebo‘s unexpected appearance.

The moment unfolded at Madison Square Garden when Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh approached Skattebo and comedian Andrew Schulz at ringside.

Wearing a New York Rangers jersey, Skattebo rose to his feet, exchanged heated words with the wrestlers.

He then appeared to shove JD McDonagh to the ground in a physical back-and-forth that left the WWE crowd roaring. It came just two days after Skattebo was also seen at the UFC 322, where he also left his mark.

Skattebo steps into the spotlight despite serious injury

Cam Skattebo‘s appearance comes as he rehabs from a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula suffered earlier this season against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Before his firing, former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll previously confirmed that Skattebo underwent successful surgery, though the recovery timeline is expected to extend into 2026.

Still, Skattebo stood firmly on his injured leg during the WWE broadcast – the first time fans have seen him moving publicly since the operation.

Other Giants players, including Roy Robertson-Harris, Darius Alexander, and Dalen Cambre, were also at ringside and jumped into the moment with him, turning the segment into a full-team burst of energy.

Before the injury, Skattebo‘s impact was immediate. The former Arizona State standout rushed for over 400 yards with five touchdowns, emerging as one of the New York Giants‘ most promising offensive pieces.

His aggressive style made him a fan favorite and that intensity was on full display at WWE Raw. His WWE moment only amplified his personality: loud, fearless, and unapologetically physical.

A rookie season derailed, but Skattebo’s personality remains

Since being sidelined, Skattebo has taken to Twitch streaming to stay connected with fans and keep his competitive instincts alive.

While the viral clash may raise eyebrows given his injury status, the moment symbolized something deeper. Even unable to suit up, Skattebo‘s presence still looms large in New York sports.

His willingness to engage – and entertain – reaffirmed the fire that made Cam Skattebo such an exciting rookie before the season-ending setback.

For a Giants team needing energy and leadership amid a difficult year, it was a reminder of what they’ll eventually get back: a player with the intensity of a linebacker, the heart of a running back, and now the showmanship of a WWE performer.
