“If we keep it a buck right now, we’re ass”: Tennessee Titans quarterback Cam Ward breaks the silence following a tough Houston performance

It was a nightmare outing for theTennessee Titans at NRG Stadium in Houston, as the team was completely outplayed by the Texans and failed to score a single point across all four quarters. The disappointing shutout has sparked criticism, with many pointing fingers at quarterback Cam Ward, who himself admitted responsibility for the team’s lackluster performance.

The Tennessee Titans continue to struggle this season, unable to recover from a string of tough defeats. After falling to the Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, and Denver Broncos, the team suffered yet another setback, this time against the Houston Texans, in a game where they never appeared to have a real chance at victory.

Perhaps the most frustrating aspect for the Titans was their inability to score at NRG Stadium, highlighting the ongoing struggles that have plagued the team since the start of the season. As a result, quarterback Cam Ward, the former No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, has been widely viewed as the primary factor behind this difficult stretch.

Titans’ struggles persist in loss to Texans: winners and losers from the game

The Tennessee Titans suffered a shocking and humbling defeat, failing to score a single point, an outcome few could have imagined. What makes the loss even more frustrating is that they faced a Houston Texans team that entered the game winless, suggesting that the Titans should have fought harder to compete.

Despite the Titans’ struggles, there were some standout performances on the field. Cedric Gray set a personal career high with 17 tackles, including 10 solo and seven assists. Another key performer was Jeffery Simmons, widely regarded as the team’s top defender, who recorded five tackles (four solo), a sack, and four additional assists.

However, the negatives far outweighed the positives for the Titans in Houston. Quarterback Cam Ward, the young rookie, completed just 10 of 26 passes for 108 yards and threw an interception, showing flashes of promise but lacking consistency. Kicker Joey Slye also struggled, missing both of his field-goal attempts from 41 and 43 yards.

Clearly, the Titans need to make significant improvements. It’s disappointing that the team has yet to secure a victory or even come close, suffering four consecutive defeats. Many are calling for changes within the organization to address the ongoing struggles.

Cam Ward reflects on struggles after Titans’ shutout loss in Houston

As previously noted, Cam Ward was a weak point for the Titans, a fact the young quarterback openly acknowledged. Reflecting on his performance, Ward admitted, “If we keep it a buck right now, we’re ass. We’ve dropped a quarter of our games fuck*ng games.”

For now, the Tennessee Titans must put the Houston loss behind them and focus on their upcoming challenge against the Arizona Cardinals, who currently hold a 2-2 record. In the game at State Farm Stadium, Cam Ward and his teammates will need to elevate their performance and demonstrate clear improvements on both sides of the ball.
