Charlotte FC has elevated its performance with the arrival of Wilfried Zaha. The former Manchester United, Crystal Palace, and Galatasaray star has boosted the team, contributing to an impressive eight-game winning streak. Zaha joined Charlotte in January with high aspirations, aiming to make a significant impact on the club’s season.

Wilfried Zaha is no stranger to facing the world’s biggest football stars, having competed for years in top European competitions like the UEFA Champions League and the Premier League. Drawing on that experience, he shared his thoughts ahead of facing Lionel Messi at Bank of America Stadium, confident in his ability to rise to the challenge.

“As much as I appreciate Messi and I know he’s a G.O.A.T., he’s still G.O.A.T. It’s Ronaldo and Messi.” Started talking Zaha in an interview with the Charlotte Ledger. Then he added, “But as soon as I’m playing against you, I couldn’t care less about all of that stuff.”

The Ivorian forward also emphasized the team’s collective goal, saying, “I know what we want to do, and we’re trying to get the ninth win, so that’s what I’m fixated on.” Zaha made it clear that, beyond individual matchups, the primary focus for Charlotte FC remains maintaining their winning streak.

Inter Miami is desperate for a victory after a tough loss in the Leagues Cup final, falling 3-0 to the Seattle Sounders. The team’s last MLS win came in mid-August against the LA Galaxy, when they secured a 3-1 triumph. With this upcoming clash against Charlotte FC, the Herons are eager to bounce back and regain momentum in the league.
