The NFL world is no stranger to being hit with tragedy. There have been too many instances of a current or former football player passing away too soon. Most recently, that was Rondale Moore.
The 25-year-old wide receiver had struggled with injuries throughout his short career, and it took a toll on him mentally. He ended up taking his own life at an incredibly young age, which both stunned and saddened those closest to him on the gridiron and off of it.
On Saturday, Moore was laid to rest at a funeral that took place in New Albany, Indiana. While hundreds of Moore’s NFL teammates and peers sent messages in the wake of his death, it seems that many of them didn’t make it to the funeral. That angers Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts, who posted a heart-wrenching message after the funeral concluded.

Pitts called out his football peers for not showing face at the funeral, despite taking the time to send thoughts and prayers on social media: “All that talk and fake emotion“.
Pitts and Moore were teammates for one season in 2024, when Moore was traded to the Falcons that offseason. Moore and Pitts spent a lot of time together during offseason workouts and training camp, up until Moore suffered a season-ending knee injury before the 2024 regular season.
Given that both are pass-catchers, they clearly developed a strong bond during their short time together.
