The 2025 WNBA season tips off this Friday, May 16, ushering in a historic year for the league.

Not only does this mark the 29th season of play, but it also features the debut of the Golden State Valkyries, bringing the league’s total to 13 teams.

WNBA on TV and streaming services

With each franchise now set to play a record-high 44 regular season games, fans can look forward to an action-packed calendar filled with elite matchups and rising star power.

Headlined by established veterans and emerging talents like A’ja Wilson, Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, and Paige Bueckers, the WNBA is poised for another unforgettable season.

From May through September, more than 175 games will be available on national television and streaming services, offering fans more ways to follow their favorite teams and players than ever before.

To keep up with the regular season and postseason excitement, fans will want to know where to tune in.

Games will be broadcast across a wide variety of platforms, including ABC, CBS, ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPN+), Disney+, ION, CBSSN, NBA TV, Prime Video, and Meta Quest.

Friday nights belong to ION, which will host 50 games as part of its exclusive “State Farm WNBA Friday Night Spotlight” series, making it the single largest broadcaster of the season.

ABC and CBS will carry marquee weekend games, including doubleheaders like the one scheduled for opening weekend on May 17.

ESPN’s coverage ramps up midweek, ensuring that fans don’t miss pivotal matchups during the heart of the season.

Meanwhile, CBS Network breaks new ground by airing the first-ever primetime regular season WNBA games on June 7 and August 9.

For those seeking even broader access, WNBA League Pass will stream over 200 out-of-market games live, giving die-hard fans the opportunity to follow every team closely.

Available via the WNBA App and website, the service also offers on-demand viewing for flexibility.

Highlight matchups include power clashes like Liberty vs. Aces and the five-game Fever vs. Sky series, with national coverage across ABC, ESPN, CBS, and ION.

With the Indiana Fever leading all teams with 41 nationally televised games, expect plenty of screen time for Caitlin Clark and company.

Whether you prefer cable, streaming, or VR, the 2025 WNBA season is ready to meet you where you are.
