These are the main rules of the tournament:
- Pitchers aged 11 to 12 may not throw more than 85 pitches in a single appearance.
- 10-year-old pitchers are limited to 75.
- A player who throws 1-20 pitches in an outing can throw the next day, but 21-35 pitches requires one day of rest.
How old are the players in the 2025 Little League World Series?
Currently, the rules have changed and today the age is between 10 and 12 years old to be part of the Little League World Series 2025.
In previous years, there were participants as young as 16, but this has changed.
What are the rules in the minor leagues?
- Tee Ball (ages 4-7): Players league age 4 to 7 are eligible to be selected to a Tee Ball team.
- Minor League (5-12 years old): League-age 5-6-year-olds who have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division are eligible to be selected to a Minor League Division team. Additionally, league-age 7-12-year-olds are eligible to be selected to a Minor League Division team.
- Little League “Major” (ages 9-12): Players league-age 9-to-12 are eligible to be selected to a Little League (“Major”) Division team for the regular season.
- Players league age 11 to 13 are eligible to be selected to an Intermediate (50/70) Division team for the regular season
- Junior League (12-14 years old): League-age 12- to 14-year-olds are eligible to be selected to a Junior League Division team for the regular season
- Players league age 13 to 16 are eligible to be selected to a Senior League Division team for the regular season
