Neymar made a public appearance on Monday despite recently being left out of the Brazil national team squad by head coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The star forward attended a match in the Kings League, where he supported his team while also addressing his absence from the latest national team call-up.

Neymar currently serves as president of the FURIA FC, and he was present for the club’s second-round match of the competition. The game drew attention not only because of the high-scoring action but also because Neymar briefly participated during the contest.

During the match, FURIA faced DesimpaiN in a lively encounter that featured several goals. At one point, with the score sitting at 5-3 in favor of DesimpaiN, Neymar stepped up to take a penalty kick.

The Brazilian star calmly converted the attempt, reducing the deficit to a single goal and drawing loud reactions from the crowd. Despite the momentary boost, however, the comeback effort ultimately fell short.

DesimpaiN regained control of the match and went on to secure a 7-4 victory, handing Neymar‘s team a defeat in the second round of the competition.

Neymar addresses Brazil squad snub

Beyond the action on the field, much of the attention surrounding Neymar centered on his recent omission from Brazil‘s national team roster. After the squad announcement, the Santos forward spoke briefly about how he felt regarding the decision.

“Obviously I’m upset, sad, for not being called up,” Neymar said during the live broadcast of the Kings League match. “But the focus continues. We will achieve our objective. The dream continues.”

The 34-year-old forward currently plays for Santos FC, where he has been working to regain full fitness and form.

His return to Brazilian club football has generated significant excitement, though his physical condition has been a recurring topic in discussions about his role with the national team.

During a press conference following the squad announcement, Ancelotti addressed questions about Neymar‘s absence. The Italian manager explained that the decision was primarily related to the player’s physical situation rather than a permanent exclusion from the national team.

According to Ancelotti, Neymar remains a player the coaching staff continues to monitor as Brazil builds toward future international competitions.

Importantly, the coach also made it clear that the forward has not been ruled out for the FIFA World Cup. If Neymar can regain peak fitness and consistent form, the door remains open for a return to the squad.

For Neymar, the immediate focus appears to be continuing his recovery and staying active both on and off the field.

His appearance at the Kings League match showed he remains closely connected to the game, even while navigating a challenging moment in his international career.

While the recent omission was disappointing for the Brazilian star, his comments suggest he remains motivated and determined to work his way back into the national team picture.
