In the recent NFL Draft, the Cowboys addressed one of their biggest needs: the offensive line. With the 12th overall pick, they selected offensive lineman Tyler Booker from Alabama. They didn’t take a wide receiver-another clear need-but Jerry Jones had an ace up his sleeve and acquired George Pickens.

A month ago, the Cowboys surprised many by making a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers to acquire George Pickens, addressing a major hole on the roster. Alongside CeeDee Lamb, Pickens promises to form an exciting wide receiver duo in the NFL.

There’s no doubt George Pickens is extremely talented. The big question has always been his behavior. However, Dak Prescott spoke on the matter and showed nothing but respect and admiration for his new teammate.

“That’s why I don’t think you should really listen to what people say about someone… The guy’s been great, phenomenal,” said Prescott. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer also spoke about Pickens: “I’m a big George Pickens fan… He comes to work every day with a smile on his face.”

George Pickens is coming off three strong seasons with the Steelers. In that time, he caught 174 passes for 2,841 yards and 13 touchdowns. With such a productive stretch, he’s also positioned himself for a potentially big contract next season, whether with Dallas or another team. So, Pickens’ upcoming year will be one to watch.
