Hailee Steinfeld has taken the step of banning phones on Valentine’s Day so that she and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen can have a more intimate evening together.
The couple recently got engaged and this will be their first Valentine’s Day as a pair who are planning a wedding, but they are planning to keep things very lowkey.
Allen has earned himself the MVP Award for the 2024 NFL season despite the Bills not making it to the Super Bowl, so he can relax on Valentine’s Day knowing he gave it his all.

Steinfeld released a new edition of her Beau Society newsletter on February 7 and that is where she spoke about what her Valentine’s plans with Allen are this time.
Phone free-zone
One of the conditions she seems to be setting is that Valentine’s Day should be a phone-free zone.
“Comparison is the thief of joy, especially on Valentine’s Day,” Steinfeld wrote. “Turn off your phone and do what sounds fun to you. For me, Valentine’s Day will most likely be a low-key evening. We’ll pull out a recipe we haven’t tried, cook it together, and turn in early.
“As much as I want to go on Pinterest and turn my house into a Valentine’s Day party (every single year), it always ends up being something way more casual, like a red balloon tied on a barstool in the kitchen next to a plate of pink-frosted cookies.”
Allen was recently a part of the newsletter as he told Hailee’s fans all about the proposal.
“The funniest part? We were getting ready for brunch, and you literally jumped on the bed and said, ‘Can we just get married already?'” Allen said. “I told you to give me a little more time – not knowing you were moments away from the surprise of your life.”
