Against all odds, Jey Uso won the WWE World Heavyweight Title after defeating Gunther on Night 1 of WrestleMania 41.

The match started slowly but picked up steam. Late in the match, Jey surprised everyone with a devastating combination: two flying kicks, a powerful spear, and three consecutive Uso Splashes.

Jey finished with a submission hold that left Gunther unable to respond. Overwhelmed by the punishment and unable to catch his breath, the Austrian finally surrendered and begged for mercy, making Jey Uso the new Heavyweight Champion of the World.

The reign of “The General of the Ring” came to an end in a way that surprised many, but it lasted 259 days.

He defeated rivals like Randy Orton, Damian Priest, Sami Zayn and Finn Balor, but he couldn’t beat “Yeet“.

An enraged Gunther takes revenge on commentators Pat McAfee and Michael Cole

The former world champion made his return on Monday Night RAW on Netflix, but in reality, WWE fans wouldn’t let him speak as the crowd chanted in unison.

“You tap out.”

This infuriated the Austrian wrestler, who approached the commentary table to demand an explanation.

“Look, I’m not the one who tapped out,” Michael Cole told Gunther, infuriating him.

Gunther shoved Pat McAfee and grabbed Michael Cole and tried to choke him. Pat sacrificed himself for his friend and punched the former World Champion in an attempt to save him.

The “Ring General” wasn’t going to stand by and let Cole go, so he let go of Cole to strangle McAfee. The referees quickly intervened and the cast of The Pat McAfee Show jumped over the barrier to help their friend.

Gunther vs. Pat McAfee at the next PLE?

Gunther slowly let go, but Pat McAfee was unable to continue and missed the final hour of the show.

The analyst and WWE commentator was sent to the company staff and Michael Cole refused to take the day off and returned to narrate.

Some fans have already started theorizing that Gunther could face Pat McAfee in a match, who has experience with some appearances in WWE, his last match was at Wrestlemania 39 where he faced The Miz and won.
