Grayson Allen, one of the toughest players in the NBA, was ejected from the NBA Cup quarter-final game that his team lost emphatically (138-89) to the Thunder.

The Phoenix guard pushed Chet Holmgren and threw him to the ground in the third quarter, causing a scuffle on the court.

The play was reviewed and Allen was called for a flagrant foul 2, which prompted cheers from the crowd.

Grayson Allen has been doing this practically his entire career

Flagrant fouls penalize “unnecessary and excessive” physical contact and the punishment is immediate expulsion.

Jalen Williams commented after the game on the aggression of Grayson Allen, a player who is a repeat offender in this type of action: “We were up by 40. I think something happened on the previous play, so there was probably some frustration, but I made sure to support Chet, and that’s it… Grayson Allen has done this pretty much his whole career, so I get it. I just make sure to support my teammates and move on. It’s not something you can overdo. As much as I want it to be a big deal, it’s the NBA.”

I think the referee was correct. It happened…

“I think the referee was correct. It happened… And then, you know, I moved on and kept trying to play basketball,” said Chet Holmgren, who finished the game with 24 points and eight rebounds, about Grayson Allen’s ejection.

Grayson Allen’s history of aggression is long and old: “He’s a petulant kid”

Grayson Allen is a powerful 6-foot-3 shooting guard who came to the NBA as an emerging star from the prestigious Duke University.

He was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 21st pick in the first round of the 2018 Draft, and already landed in the NBA with a reputation as a controversial and violent player in the NCAA.

“Why does Grayson Allen keep doing this kind of thing? He’s a petulant kid

Playing for Duke he kicked Steven Santa Ana (Elon) from behind, a dangerous and dirty action that he already performed twice in the previous season.

“Grayson Allen’s actions do not fit Duke’s models

Mike Krzyzewski.

“Why does he keep doing this kind of thing? He’s a petulant kid,” said Jay Williams, a former Duke star and ESPN commentator, during the broadcast.

“His actions do not fit the Duke models,” said Grayson Allen’s legendary coach Mike Krzyzewski.

At the time, Grayson Allen apologized, “I made a mistake again and I’m not going to do something like that again,” but the then 21-year-old forgot his promise when he arrived in the NBA.

Upon arriving in the NBA, Grayson Allen’s dirty play was unleashed, causing numerous incidents and altercations throughout his career.

The NBA’s ‘Bad Boy’ was close to injuring Alex Caruso with “a s*** foul” and had a run-in with Trae Young, although he has also received a taste of his own medicine with an elbow from Derrick Jones.

Grayson Allen, who has earned more than $44 million during his NBA career playing for the Jazz, Grizzlies, Bucks and Suns, is averaging 10.8 points, 3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
