“God is so good”: Deion Sanders’ ex-wife celebrates son’s NFL sideline debut

Carolyn Chambers, former spouse of NFL Hall-Famer Deion Sandersand mother to Deion Sanders Jr., has offered a touching and unfiltered celebration as her son transitioned into his latest career chapter.

Through a simple Instagram post, she shared an image of Sanders Jr. on the NFL sidelines, holding his camera, and expressed her joy with three heartfelt words: “NFL sideline debut!! God is so good!”

It was a quiet yet powerful moment, reflecting pride and faith rather than spectacle. Chambers‘ caption, delivered with warmth and sincerity, resonated in the Sanders family circle and beyond.

Her support underscores a longstanding connection to football and to her children’s ambitions.

Deion Sanders Jr., known for his Well Off Media brand and his presence as a visual storyteller in the league’s atmosphere, has now added an NFL sideline appearance to his growing resume.

His debut did not go unnoticed by his sister, Deiondra Sanders, who amplified the moment on Instagram by reposting from the brand’s page and adding: “So proud of my brother @deionsandersjr able to cover the NFL games! Let’s go!!”

A sideline debut that means more than bright lights

Beyond a family snapshot, this moment signals a broader theme in the Sanders legacy: a next-generation member forging a path in sports media.

While attention often centers on Shedeur Sanders, a high-profile QB navigating calls, expectations, and strategizing for his NFL future in the Cleveland Browns, this sideline scene reflects another sibling making subtle yet meaningful strides.

Deion Jr.‘s calm, behind-the-lens presence captures both games and hearts, without the pressure of the spotlight.

To appreciate the significance, it helps to understand the family backdrop. Deion Jr. is the eldest son of Deion Sanders and Carolyn Chambers, and he operates a growing media brand that aims to capture the energy of football culture.

His appearance on an NFL sideline marks not just a career moment but a familial pivot, one that highlights storytelling, support, and personal progress.

Earlier this year, Deion Sr. and his sons experienced challenges too: Shedeur went undrafted in the early rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, prompting visible disappointment from his father during a viewing party. He ended up getting picked by the Cleveland Browns, and is now the third quarterback.

Meanwhile, Shilo Sanders, another son, faced setbacks, including being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the preseason and subsequently defending his temperament amid the team’s decision.
