Since finalizing his divorce from supermodel Gisele Bundchen in 2022, Tom Brady has been seen with several notable women. The latest name linked to Brady is actress Sofia Vergara and the speculation began when the pair were spotted together aboard a Ritz-Carlton Yacht during a luxury European voyage packed with celebrities.
Brady reportedly asked to switch seats during a gala dinner just to sit next to Vergara, which only fueled the fire. They were later seen together again in Ibiza, sparking further talk of a budding connection.
This rumor comes on the heels of Brady’s previous brush with actress Sydney Sweeney at Jeff Bezos‘ wedding celebration. That interaction, which reportedly involved grabbing drinks, caused a stir on its own. But the connection with Vergara has drawn even more attention, perhaps due to the star power both bring to the table and their contrasting public personas.
Not everyone is convinced the pairing has real potential. During a recent episode of The Social podcast, hosts Melissa Grelo, Cynthia Loyst, Andrea Bain, and Jessica Allen discussed the rumors. Most hosts were optimistic about a possible summer romance, but Allen took a more critical stance.
“Every celebrity and their cousins were invited on board this royal, rich yacht. I think if we were on the yacht, Tom Brady would have asked us to date him,” Allen joked, before offering her reasoning for skepticism. “You think it’s going to last? He would never date someone who wears those kind of sunglasses at night. And she probably eats nightshades and cake. He is not going to be able to do that. I think she is slumming it with him.”
Allen’s remarks highlight the perceived differences between the two stars. Brady, famously dedicated to his fitness regimen and disciplined lifestyle, reportedly avoids certain foods entirely, nightshades and sugar among them.
Vergara has a different lifestyle
Vergara, on the other hand, embraces vibrant fashion and enjoys a carefree approach to life. Their seemingly opposite lifestyles have led some to wonder if any spark is real or just a passing attraction born out of proximity and circumstance.
Meanwhile, celebrity gossip outlet Deuxmoi reported that Vergara may not be particularly interested in a long-term future with Brady either. According to a source, “Sofía wants someone older, more established, and with a mature, seasoned demeanor,” which she allegedly felt was lacking in her ex-husband, Joe Manganiello, whom she divorced in 2024.
Additionally, rumors circulated that Brady had commented that Vergara was “too old” for him. However, a representative for Brady quickly shut that down, saying the claim was “completely false” and not something he would ever say.
