Gilbert Arenas calls Karl-Anthony Towns a “B*tch” after Knicks miss the Finals but KAT’s reply steals the show

Karl-Anthony Towns has been a standout in the NBA, but he’s also a magnet for attention-sometimes of the negative kind. From his college days at the University of Kentucky to his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves and now with the New York Knicks, Towns’s flair has been unmistakable. Fans and social media often tease him for what they call his “feminine” or “sassy” vibe-think playful taunts about his on-court swagger. Yet, despite the jabs, KAT remains a force.

He’s widely regarded as one of the top 20 to 30 players in the league and the greatest shooting center the NBA has ever seen. His game-changing presence has carried two teams to the conference finals: the Timberwolves last year in the Western Conference finals, and the Knicks this year, who lost to the Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals. Against Indiana, Towns averaged an impressive 24.8 points and 12.1 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to reach the Finals.

Arenas Unleashes Verbal Barrage on Towns

The spotlight on Towns grew hotter when former NBA star Gilbert Arenas joined the conversation on his podcast “No Chill”. In the episode, Arenas called Towns “built like a bitch,” compared his frame to a WNBA player’s, and mocked his “girl hips.” This kind of trash talk feels ripped from the social media playbook. Pages have long been churning out videos that poke fun at Towns’s “sassy” style. Arenas, who has clearly spent time scrolling through those feeds, may have crossed a line with this one.

But Towns wasn’t fazed. He responded with a clever Instagram story, sharing a photo of Arenas sporting painted nails. This feud could be just the spark KAT needs to overcome two straight seasons of falling short of the ultimate prize.

How Do Arenas and Towns Careers Stack Up?

Let’s take a closer look at these two. Gilbert Arenas, a three-time All-Star, was a scoring dynamo, averaging 20.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 4.2 rebounds over the course of 11 seasons. His 2006-07 campaign, in which he averaged 29.3 points per game, was impressive-he was a natural scorer and a tenacious defender. But what about Karl-Anthony Towns? He’s already outshone Arenas in many ways.

A five-time All-Star, KAT’s career averages are 22.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 3.1 assists over 10 seasons. He has a Rookie of the Year trophy and has consistently made the All-Star team. While Arenas had a killer peak, Towns’s versatility and staying power give him the upper hand. However, KAT’s future in New York is uncertain, especially after Tom Thibodeau’s recent departure left the coaching position vacant.
