Cristiano Ronaldo knew (and knows) how to succeed in soccer and position himself as one of the most recognized players in the world. However, in his personal life, he also knew how to be successful.
The Portuguese star has five children and a stable relationship with Georgina Rodríguez, with whom he began dating in 2016 when he met her while she was working at a Gucci store. CR7 recently proposed to her, and now she has revealed intimate details of their daily life.
Georgina speaks openly about her family
After almost a decade together, Cristiano and Georgina have shared countless moments together. She was by his side when he won major trophies with his clubs and also when he lost.
Together, they also formed a family: Ronaldo already had a son, Cristiano Jr., born in 2010. In 2017, twins Eva María and Mateo arrived (via surrogacy), and that same year, their first daughter, Alana Martina, was also born. In April 2022, the couple was expecting twins: Bella Esmeralda and Angel, but their joy was overshadowed by the death of the baby boy. Although Geo is biologically the mother of Alana and Bella, she raises all the children as her own and refers to them as such.
In conversation with ELLE, the businesswoman revealed what everyday life is like in her home with all her children. She admitted that having a family with so many children was “a dream come true” since her family consists of her mother and sister, and she did not rule out the option of becoming a mother again: “Thinking about expanding it? I’m very young and whatever is to come, God will decide,” she said.
She also said that she spoils her children more than her husband does and that her essence “remains intact” when it comes to making them understand the value of things, even though they have “other possibilities” financially:
“We instill our values in them. They witness everything we strive for, that nothing comes for free, so we remind them of the importance of being fighters and, especially, good people. They are polite, responsible, and work hard at school and in their activities; above all, they persevere in their dreams. That’s what they see at home,” Rodríguez said.
Meanwhile, the couple has also taken a big step this year: on August 10, Georgina dazzled everyone with a photo of a ring with a large diamond on her ring finger, confirming her engagement to the Al Nassr captain.
“It’s beautiful. It’s the least he could offer me after ten years of waiting,” Rodríguez said with a laugh. “The truth is that when he asked for my hand, it was the last thing on my mind. It took me a long time to take in the tremendous stone he gave me. I was so shocked that I left it in my room and didn’t open it until the next day in the sunlight,” she revealed.
CR7 had revealed that the wedding would take place after the 2026 FIFA World Cup and that he hoped to have the cup for added happiness. It is expected to take place in Ronaldo’s hometown of Madeira, although Geo confessed that despite his popularity, it will be a small wedding “100%, without a doubt.”
