Singing a Taylor Swift song with the artist herself is one of the biggest dreams of Swifties. But there is someone who made it come true.
George Kittle, the San Francisco 49ers tight end, sang the verses of “Love Story” with his friend Travis Kelce’s fiancée at this year’s “Tight End University” event in late June and, in addition to praising Swift, revealed how he felt about the moment.
Kittle says Taylor is “cooler” than people think
During an interview with Mike Golic and Mike Golic Jr. on their FanDuel Sports Network show, George recalled the night Taylor sang with him.
“Taylor Swift is cooler than you actually think she is. She couldn’t be a nicer, more down-to-earth person,” he said.
After Taylor attended a welcome afterparty at a Nashville bar for TEU, Travis and his girlfriend also enjoyed the “Tight Ends and Friends concert” at Brooklyn Bowl, where the 35-year-old artist surprised the audience by singing “Shake It Off.” Afterward, Kittle and Swift joined forces to improvise a duet of her song “Love Story.”
George recalled that he was about to give his wife Claire Colette and Taylor a drink when the song started playing, and he quickly confessed that it was his favorite. Swift joined Kittle and they sang the song together, creating a moment that the TE “will never forget.” “I had so much fun!” he said as he recalled it.
In addition, the TE showered her with praise, saying that Taylor was very kind and spent an hour talking with his mother and mother-in-law.
Meanwhile, Kittle has established himself as a reliable weapon for the San Francisco 49ers (7-4) this season, recording 21 receptions for 184 yards (an average of 8.8 yards per reception) and scoring three touchdowns.
The 49ers are coming off a 22-41 win over the Arizona Cardinals and are preparing to host the Carolina Panthers (6-5) on Monday, November 24, at Levi’s Stadium.
