The 2025 Genesis Scottish Open tees off Thursday, July 10, and concludes Sunday, July 13, at the prestigious Renaissance Club in North Berwick, Scotland. As the final Rolex Series event before The Open Championship, this tournament serves both as a high-stakes competition and a crucial warm-up for links golf enthusiasts.

Where It’s Played?

Since 2019, the Renaissance Club has been the tournament’s home. The par-70 layout measures around 7,237 yards and stands out with its five par3s and three par5s. Its links-style terrain, featuring undulating fairways and challenging greens, makes it the perfect rehearsal arena for next week’s Open at Royal Portrush.

How to Watch Live: TV and Streaming Details

Golf fans in the U.S. can enjoy comprehensive live coverage on Golf Channel and CBS, with early rounds airing on Golf Channel (Thursday and Friday, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. ET) and weekend coverage split between Golf Channel (Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. ET) and CBS (12-3 p.m. ET). Streaming through PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will provide early access to featured groups, while Paramount+ delivers CBS’s telecasts. Golf Channel’s coverage is also simulcast via NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports App.

Tee Times: Opening Rounds

Play begins Thursday, July 10. A full first and second round tee time sheet will be posted on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour websites. Expect early morning starts around 7 a.m. BST, with featured pairings in the late morning. Among them, defending champion Robert MacIntyre has been grouped alongside Scottie Scheffler and Adam Scott, while Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland, and Xander Schauffele headline another marquee grouping.

Players: A Star-Studded Field

With 156 players competing, the Scottish Open features eight of the world’s top 10 golfers. Stars in the lineup include Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Ludvig Åberg. Defending champion Robert MacIntyre returns on the strength of his impressive victory last year, while past champs like Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Viktor Hovland also feature prominently.

Look for MacIntyre to leverage his local crowd support and course comfort, especially facing off in a group with top-tier contenders. Meanwhile, Scheffler, McIlroy, and Schauffele all aim to sharpen their links game ahead of Royal Portrush. With no mid-cut drama and plenty of scoring opportunities, this week offers an ideal blend of competition and preparation.
