The New York Mets have stumbled out of the gate this season, and yesterday’s loss fell largely on the shoulders of Francisco Lindor, the team’s star player. The player made two crucial errors that ended up costing them a 3-2 loss to the Miami Marlins, adding to their frustration at the start of the campaign.

Kodai Senga, the Mets starter, showed great determination early on, but a two-run homer quickly put him on the defensive. Despite this early setback, Senga battled hard to keep the score level until the fourth inning, when a serious error by Francisco Lindor allowed Otto Lopez to reach first safely, triggering a chain of trouble.

With a crucial walk by Jonah Bride and a decisive double by Graham Pauley, the Marlins added two additional runs, putting the score at 4-2. Miami held its lead for the remainder of the game, defending with determination and securing the victory without allowing the Mets to react.
