The Mets continue to battle for their place in the MLB postseason. They overcame the Cubs on Thursday, September 25 at the legendary Wrigley Field and, with that victory, the team led by Venezuelan Carlos Mendoza took advantage in the last wild card spot. The game meant more than just the win, as Francisco Lindor joined Juan Sotoin a memorable feat.

The chemistry between Lindor and Soto is palpable, and their ability to inspire each other is evident. This kind of synergy is what can take a team to new heights, and the Mets are reaping the rewards of this collaboration on the field. Now they just have to keep up the good pace in the Playoff race.

Francisco Lindor goes 30-30 with homer against Cubs

The Mets’ shortstop, Francisco Lindor, hit a monstrous 408-foot home run, sealing his place in the 30-30 club. With this home run, Lindor joined his teammate Juan Soto, who had already reached the mark in early September, in a club that few have had the privilege of joining.

Lindor and Soto’s feat is not only a personal achievement, but also a milestone for the New York Mets. Only two pairs of teammates have accomplished this before: Howard Johnson and Darryl Strawberry in 1987, and Dante Bichette and Ellis Burks with the Colorado Rockies in 1996. The game against the Chicago Cubs was an exhibition of power and speed

Juan Soto is close to achieving a 40-40 with the New York Mets

Lindor, batting right-handed, faced left-hander Shota Imanaga and left no doubt as he sent the ball out of the stadium. Meanwhile, Juan Soto has proven to be an unstoppable force on the field. Although he had already reached the 30-30 club, his ambition did not stop there

With four games remaining in the regular season, the Dominican outfielder has the opportunity to become the first Met to achieve a 40-40, a feat that would put him on an even higher pedestal in baseball history. There’s still time, we just have to hold on to see the magic of Soto.
