There may not be as much hype for it as anticipated, but the upcoming Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford bout really does have the potential to be the “fight of the century“. Both boxers have carved out incredible careers to this point. While their legacies may not be on the line, the winner will come out with the titles, a bunch of money, and eternal bragging rights.

I want to remind people that getting into the ring with Canelo Alvarez, Terence is not going to see anything that he hasn’t seen before. No, he hasn’t seen this beast on fight night, but he has seen a version of this beast for a very, very long time.
Porter also mentions that Crawford has done a great job of getting up to the specified weight. While “most fighters don’t know how to gain weight and fit into a weight class properly“, Crawford has done everything right in that aspect leading up to the bout.
