Antonio Brown, considered a former star player in the National Football League (NFL), is wanted by Miami County Sheriff’s deputies after the wide receiver was involved in an altercation at a boxing event that quickly spiraled out of control.

In the incident, the 36-year-old man was dragged to the ground by a man who, it was later learned, was a member of the security detail trying to protect him. However, during the altercation, he attempted to punch the man.

Why are police seeking to arrest Antonio Brown?

Miami-Dade County police are seeking to arrest Antonio Brown for attempted murder following a shooting at a boxing event last month in Florida. The player appeared to pull out a gun before the shooting began in shocking footage from a celebrity boxing event in Miami a few weeks ago.

Before the gun appeared, Brown was seen fighting with several men and has been accused of lying about the shocking fight he was involved in, after the controversial former NFL star claimed he was simply fighting off attackers trying to rob him of his jewelry.

Antonio Brown ordered to post $10,000 bail

The warrant, signed by a judge on Wednesday, charges Brown with attempted murder with a firearm and requires the former wide receiver to post $10,000 bail and remain under house arrest pending trial, according to the Washington Post.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Zül-Qarnan has alleged that he was actually the victim of the attack after being jumped by the Super Bowl winner and two of his friends, before Brown fired gunshots at him with children nearby. “He’s a liar,’ he said about Antonio. ‘If you watch the video everybody was attacking me, it was a 3 versus 1”, he said.
