Former Mets and Braves All-Star delivers explosive transphobic comment from Disney cruise

As we reach the end of 2025, society has reached a stage where everything is somewhat sensitive. That has led to quite radical views on both sides of the coin, and any type of controversial comment is bound to go viral on social media; especially from high-profile celebrities and athletes.

Former MLB player Ender Inciarte certainly stoked the flames this week with a divisive comment. Inciarte was on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, which he enjoyed but took issue with one thing in particular: men dressed as women. He says he “thought you already got over it.” Obviously, that didn’t sit well with everyone.

Fans were quick to pull up a picture of Inciarte dressed as a French maid alongside his teammates from his playing days. Inciarte must have become enlightened since then.

Who is Ender Inciarte?

Inciarte is a Venezuelan former player who spent nine years in MLB. He began his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks, spending two seasons there before being traded to the Atlanta Braves. He made a name for himself there as an elite fielder, winning three Gold Glove Awards and making the All-Star Game in 2017.

After getting released by the Braves midway through the 2021 season, Inciarte bounced around the minor leagues with the Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees. He made it back to an MLB roster with the New York Mets in 2022, but was designated for assignment only three weeks after getting called up. He didn’t play again after that. He also represented Venezuela at the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
