Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t exactly make headlines for keeping his opinions to himself. And this time is no exception.
Recently, Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson has gone public with his relationship with rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
In early July, she shared a photo of the NBA star on Instagram, and the following week they went out to dinner in New York and made their debut as a couple at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in NY, organized to support disadvantaged communities in Houston.
There, they arrived hand in hand and kissed on the red carpet while posing for the cameras, putting an end to rumors about their relationship.
The singer said that she had “never dated someone so kind” and that “this is her first relationship where she is with someone who is truly a good person and makes her truly happy.”
As if that weren’t enough, they also share their interests and workout sessions, as they demonstrated in their most recent video. “I have been working out with my man!” Megan says in the clip as they exercise.
Shaq and Tayson’s opinion
However, despite this, the relationship may be coming to an end for the basketball legend. On the podcast “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” his co-host, Adam Lefkoe, asked him to share his opinion on this relationship:
Six weeks. The line is six weeks.
He even shook his head when Lefkoe asked him if Megan and Klay would still be together in the fall and remained confident and firm in his stance.
Mike Tyson, who was a guest on the podcast, also gave his opinion on the matter, although he disagreed with O’Neal.
“That might last a long time. You know, six weeks ain’t nothing. She got that shot. So you’ve got to give her some credit. You’ve got to give a little credit that he might have some staying power,” said the boxing legend.
At 35 years old and after suffering two serious injuries (one to his knee and another to his Achilles tendon), Klay Thompson is preparing for a new season in the NBA, and although Shaquille’s comments may have an impact, he finds motivation in love.
