Floyd Mayweather receives a response from Vegas Auto Gallery after the lawsuit over a Mercedes Maybach purchase

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is never tired of making heaadlines. He just filed a lawsuit against Vegas Auto Gallery, alleging he was deceived into buying a 2018 Mercedes Maybach G650 Landaulet.

The premium vehicle, one of a $2.25 million car spending binge, is now being contested in court regarding prices and personalizations. For Floyd, the price he got the car for did not represent a fair deal.

Mayweather’s claims

As per court records, four luxury cars were bought by Mayweather in July 2025, including the Maybach for $1.2 million. The dealer allegedly modified the selling price and status of the vehicle, the boxer says.

  1. The vehicle had been bought for $1.1 million, according to the statement, but in reality the car is worth around $728,000, according to Mayweather.
  2. He also claims the Maybach was short of necessary certificates and contained unauthorized modifications.
  3. Mayweather tried to return the vehicle but was allegedly denied, and this led to the suit to invalidate the purchase and recover damages, including attorney fees.

The dealership responds

Vegas Auto Gallery also had their say, quoting that Mayweather allegedly signed a Confession of Judgment in June 2025 for the $1.2 million loan. Vegas Auto Gallery asserts Mayweather volunteered to buy the vehicle, missed payment deadlines, and marketed the vehicle on social media.

In June 2025, Floyd signed a confession of judgment admitting to a court of law he personally owes $1.2 million. Last week, he blew a settlement to finally pay. When he begged for an extension, we granted it. He still didn’t pay

Ted Anastasiou, attorney for Vegas Auto Gallery, told TMZ

Representatives have called the suit “laughable” and indicated they will seek dismissal of the suit by the court while maintaining the initial agreement.

His lawsuit is laughable and dead on arrival, and any allegations about the condition of cars he willingly purchased, personally signed for, and then showed off on social media are just a pathetic attempt to spin

The case demonstrates the pitfall that may occur while purchasing costly luxury cars. Legal authorities indicate the case can serve as a precedent in how misrepresentation and alteration cases are handled in the sale of exotic vehicles.

Throughout the lawsuit, Mayweather and Vegas Auto Gallery are left waiting, pointing towards the need for transparency and contractual clarity in multi-million-dollar deals.
