Barcelona’s squad trained on Sunday morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper after Saturday’s match against Alaves at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys. On Tuesday, they will host Atletico Madrid and there is no time for rest. In Sunday’s session, which was a recovery session for the starters, Hansi Flick already had the presence of Frenkie de Jong, but not Ronald Araujo.

The Dutch international missed both of Coudet’s games for family reasons, but today he worked as normal and is expected to start against Simeone’s side in the match brought forward from matchday 19 as a result of the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia

Eric Garcia, for his part, did recovery exercises and did not take to the pitch. The versatile Catalan player was substituted against Alaves due to a hard tackle that caused him a lot of pain.
In addition, youngsters Eder Aller, Dro Fernandez, Tommy Marques and Jofre Torrents joined the session

The defender was the protagonist of the fifth round of the Champions League clash when he was sent off at Stamford Bridge and left his teammates with one man less just before half-time. His absence from today’s training session, and in recent days, means that he is almost certain to miss Tuesday’s match against Atletico Madrid

Barcelona injuries

Hansi Flick is not expected to have any of the injured or medically affected players back for Tuesday’s match, as in addition to Araujo, Ter Stegen, Gavi and Fermin Lopez are still not available
