Hansi Flick, coach of Barcelona, spoke on the eve of the final of the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid.

Feelings. “I think everyone appreciates playing a final against Madrid. We can win a title and we must play as a team, that’s what I want to see. It’s the most important thing.”

Real Madrid’s moment. “They have fantastic, high-quality players. I’m focused on my team. It’s Madrid and there’s no greater motivation.”

Double prize final, doubts at Madrid. “What matters to me is my team, I focus on my team, if we win it gives us a lot of confidence. We always think positively. We want to show our best level. I have a good feeling with the team. What Madrid do is not my job.”

He saw the Real Madrid-Atletico and Mbappe’s arrival. “He is the best striker at the moment. He is a world-class player”.

“Barcelona, favorite. A final is a final and a Clasico is different. It’s what everyone wants to see. We will try to win and give our best. But we don’t pay attention to these things.”

Revenge for the last Clasico. “For me, I don’t like that. It was just one game and then we have concentrated on continuing to play good games. We want to win always and that’s the important thing. The team is very focused and I’m very happy with that. There is a long way to go until the end of the season.”

Eric or De Jong. “We’ll see what happens tomorrow. In the end, we have many options. Eric can play, Frenkie too. We have the last training session tonight and we’ll see. Tomorrow we will decide who starts.”

Once decided. “We will make the decision after training. We have options in every position and they are all good. The important thing is to win the final and make the right decisions for the team.”

“In training we always do it at the end, it’s normal,” he said

Lamine. “He can start. Everyone is ready to start or be a substitute”.

How does it feel to be the favourite? “I don’t care, it’s opinions. Real is a fantastic team and so are we. At first it was two games and now it’s one, I focus on these 90 minutes.”

Atmosphere in Saudi Arabia. “I really appreciated the temperature against Athletic, the pitch, the stadium is incredible. It’s all good, fantastic.”

Clasico with Mbappe. “How many Clasicos have we played? How many have we won? We have only lost one game. He is a fantastic player and we will adapt a little, but also to Real Madrid. We have to play as Barcelona always plays, with our style, which is different from Real Madrid.Balde. “Full-backs in modern football are a very important position. He played very well against Athletic, but tomorrow is different. It’s important that he’s at his best. We need them at their best.”
