Indiana Fever fans are growing restless as star guard Caitlin Clark continues to sit out with a lingering groin injury. After missing her 12th straight game, the Fever’s performance has deteriorated, fueling worry about her potential absence for the rest of the 2025 season.
Early momentum fades as Clark remains out
Earier in the season, the Fever defied the expectations without Clark, even reaching three games above .500 and sparking playoff hopes with a winning streak in late July.
However, without Clark in the lineup and with other key injuries piling up, the team has slipped below .500, now sitting at 10-11. Fans fear they’ve watched their chance dissolve, one tweeted:
I don’t think she is coming back…Fever has lost their chance
Clark’s injury crisis deepens
Compounding the issue, the Fever have been hit hard by injuries beyond Clark’s absence. Sydney Colson suffered a season-ending ACL tear and Aari McDonald broke a bone in her foot, effectively wiping out the team’s point guard depth.
With no clear indication of Clark’s return, as head coach Stephanie White has confirmed she hasn’t resumed practice, the uncertainty continues to mount.
