Fantasy football alert: Is Keon Coleman the next breakout WR for the Bills?

Last year was Keon Coleman’s rookie season. It was an up-and-down year for him, but in 2025 the Buffalo Bills are entering a season that promises adjustments.

And that is precisely where the golden opportunity arises for this young second-round receiver. He has it all, he knows how to run and he knows the trade now in the NFL. It will all depend on him and his health.

Coleman had a good NFL season in 2024

In 2024, Coleman caught just 29 passes for 82.5 fantasy points, finishing as the WR60 in the league. However, the numbers hide promising signs:

  • He ranked third in the NFL in yards per reception (19.2) among receivers with 50+ targets.
  • He showed chemistry with Josh Allen in back-to-back weeks (7 and 8), with seven targets and more than 16.5 PPR points in both.
  • He scored four touchdowns and had eight red-zone targets, indicating that the Bills trust him near the end zone.

The big problem was consistency: a wrist injury sidelined him for four weeks and he only recorded one solid performance in the last seven games, including playoffs.

That’s why we said, health is key for Coleman and for you as a manager if you want to choose him.

Coleman’s competition is scarce within the Bills

The Bills did not make any major additions to bolster the wide receiver position. This leaves Coleman as a clear option to gain volume of targets behind Stefon Diggs. His current ADP has him as WR51 and pick 121 overall, a steal considering his projection of 118 fantasy points in 2025.

Additionally, an interesting fact: his aDOT (average depth of target) was 15.2 yards, quite high. If the coaching staff adjusts and gives him shorter routes, Coleman could become a steady weapon for Allen and not just a big-play receiver.

Coleman’s 2025 fantasy outlook

Keon Coleman – Statistics and Fantasy Projection 2025

  1. Targets: 2024 57 | 2025 85+
  2. Receptions: 2024 29 | 2025 55+
  3. Yards: 2024 557 | 2025 850+
  4. TDs: 2024 4 | 2025 6-7
  5. Total Fantasy Points: 2024 82.5 | 2025 118.0
  6. WR Fantasy Ranking: 2024 WR60 | 2025 WR41
  7. ADP: 2024 WR51 (121) | 2025 WR41 projected

Coleman is a natural fantasy sleeper

Keon Coleman enters 2025 as a textbook sleeper:

  • He has first-round pedigree.
  • Catch passes from Josh Allen.
  • He doesn’t face serious competition for targets.

In standard leagues, he can be a high-upside bet from round 10 onwards. If you’re looking for hidden value with low-end WR2 potential, Coleman should be on your radar.
