Guardiola’s side were thrashed and if they are eliminated, there are some players who would be looking for a possible exit from the club at the end of the season.
Erling Haaland is City’s star player, however, there have always been rumors linking him with Barcelona, a club that has also had him on its radar for several years. It was the Norwegian player’s representative who spoke about the options for a possible departure from the Premier League.
Haaland’s agent speaks out on supposed move to Barcelona
Erling Haaland’s representative, Rafaela Pimenta, spoke to El Chiringuito and explained what the Norwegian’s plans are for the end of the current season.
We have a lot of respect for Barcelona, a lot of admiration, but there has been no contact from the club, nor from its (presidential) candidates for a transfer
“Also because the player renewed his contract a few months ago, he is very happy at Manchester City and we really have nothing to talk about a transfer when everything is going so well,” explained Pimenta, clarifying all doubts in this regard.
Barcelona looking for a new striker
Barcelona are already working to find a replacement for Lewandowski and therefore, there is talk of Haaland, but also of Julian Alvarez.
The Argentine striker is another great desire of the Catalan team, however, his departure from Atletico Madrid would not be easy, as he has a valid contract and a very high clause.
Barcelona’s future is uncertain because elections are coming up, where the winner of the presidency will have to see what real options there are to sign a new striker
