There’s no doubt the Buffalo Bills are one of the top contenders in the AFC, and they’ll surely be competing at the highest level once again with a clear goal in mind: returning to the Super Bowl after more than two decades and capturing the first Vince Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.

One of Buffalo’s biggest issues has been the quality of their receiving corps. While it’s a deep group, there have been questions about its overall talent. However, Elijah Moore has now joined the team. He’s a player with great potential, though he hasn’t fully tapped into it during his time in the NFL-something that could change alongside Josh Allen.

Josh Allen was the key to Elijah Moore’s decision to join Buffalo

Right after signing a one-year deal with the Bills today, Elijah Moore gave his first statements to Matthew Bové, explaining that the opportunity to play with quarterback Josh Allen was a major factor in his decision.

Moore added: “[Allen is] simply a phenomenal player. And from what I’ve heard inside the building and around the league, he’s an even more phenomenal person. So it’s not hard to get behind someone like that.”

At 25 years old and a product of Ole Miss, wide receiver Elijah Moore brings four seasons of NFL experience. Over that time, he has totaled 2,162 receiving yards and scored nine touchdowns, having previously played for the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns. Now with the Buffalo Bills, he joins a receiving group led by Khalil Shakir, newcomer Keon Coleman, and Joshua Palmer. His arrival adds depth and reliability to the unit while giving quarterback Josh Allen more offensive weapons.

A year ago, the Bills lost two of their top wideouts: Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, a duo that consistently challenged opposing defenses. Despite those losses, Buffalo managed to average 30.9 points per game in 2024 and reached the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
