Antonio Brown has never been one to shy away from controversy, and his latest social media move has once again put his former teammate Tom Brady in the spotlight. Brown recently posted what he claims are private direct messages from Brady, revealing a once-positive exchange that has since soured as their relationship deteriorated.
Brown’s post showed an interaction in which Brady appeared to praise him, writing “You are truly one of a kind! So proud of you.” Brown responded with equal enthusiasm, allegedly replying “Love ya champ !!!! Thanks for everything, your presence a blessing.”
However, another message took a different tone, with Brady reportedly advising Brown to prioritize his mental health “Love how you are working, please don’t miss your psychologist appointments. PHYSICAL – you have mastered and it is easy for you to work hard. MENTAL – you are very smart and you know the game. EMOTIONAL – we all need to work on this. We are all emotional beings. You need to work equally as hard here!”
A one-sided feud, apparently
Brown, seemingly unimpressed by Brady’s words, captioned his post “Please don’t miss Psychologist appointments…. WTF.” While Brady has remained silent, Brown has taken repeated shots at his former Buccaneers teammate. The former wide receiver has criticized Brady’s skills, made bold claims about his ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
He even extended his frustrations toward Jay-Z, slamming the rapper for performing at Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony. “Jay didn’t perform at any Hip Hop 50 concerts last year where the fans would’ve known every word to his songs, but he makes time to get ignored by rich folks smh,” Brown tweeted.
Despite Brown’s repeated jabs, Brady has avoided engaging publicly, maintaining his focus on life post-football. Meanwhile, Brown continues to fuel drama online, raising questions about whether he’s genuinely seeking a response or simply stirring controversy for attention. Whether Brady breaks his silence or continues ignoring Brown’s antics, one thing is clear: Antonio Brown isn’t done talking, whether anyone responds or not.
