Donna Kelce steals the spotlight in Taylor Swift-inspired look at Halloween Horror Nights

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce isn’t the only one making headlines lately – his mom, Donna Kelce, has been turning heads too.

During a recent visit to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, she stunned fans with a playful, Taylor Swift-themed ensemble that nodded to The Life of a Showgirl era. Donna posted snapshots to Instagram, writing, “Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights doesn’t disappoint…” and showed off an outfit pairing themed shorts and a matching printed cap.

In the photos, she posed against spooky backdrops, notably near the haunted Gringotts Bank set, beaming among friends. One image features her in a black shirt, her hands playfully half-covering her face, capturing the fun and theatrical spirit of the event.

What makes the look especially striking is its clear homage to Swift: the choice of patterned shorts and cap evoke motifs from the pop star’s album launch imagery, blending fandom with flair.

Donna’s appearance at Universal came just days after she took to Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs-Lions game alongside Travis’ dad, Ed Kelce, and Taylor Swift herself. The three watched the game from a VIP suite, further spotlighting the merging of sports and celebrity support in recent weeks.

Her fashion choices on that game day weren’t subtle. Donna wore a Swift-inspired hat adorned with doodles – including Taylor’s caricature, numbers, and phrases tied to her discography – reinforcing her support for her soon-to-be daughter-in-law.

Meanwhile, Travis has also leaned into this sartorial narrative. Just days earlier, he appeared in a lumberjack-style plaid shirt and tan pants at the Chiefs vs. Lions game, an outfit many interpreted as a nod to Swift’s track “Wood” off The Life of a Showgirl.

The Kelce family seems to be embracing this visual play in full. Donna previously sported Taylor Swift-themed accessories during Chiefs games. And earlier this month, she showed up to celebrate the release of Swift’s latest album with a bucket hat featuring the pop star’s face and orange feathered fans, tying into the album’s color palette.

A blending of fandom, family, and fashion

Donna Kelce’s Halloween Horror Nights appearance isn’t just a costume moment, it’s a symbolic bridge between worlds. In merging her role as a devoted mother and a welcoming future mother-in-law, she’s leveraged fashion and fandom to make a bold statement.

The visual layers of her outfits, from the shorts and cap at Universal to the Swift-themed hat at the game, tell a story of support, connection, and style.

In an era where celebrity culture and sports fandom often collide, Donna’s playful fashion choices place her at that intersection. As Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce continue making headlines, both on the field and in pop culture, mom is clearly in on the act.
