On Tuesday, just an hour before Swift and Kelce shared their news on Instagram, Donna was on Facebook posting about a trip to North Carolina and her visit to a King Tutankhamun exhibit.
The timing made fans laugh, with many commenting that she had “bigger news” to focus on and teasing that wedding planning should already be underway.
The next day, though, Donna revealed her true celebration of the moment with a more heartfelt move.

Donna updated her Facebook cover photo to a split image of both Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift as children. The small but meaningful gesture drew an immediate response from fans, who filled the comments with congratulations.
“Congrats Mother of the Groom!!!!!” one wrote. Another added, “That is so cute!! Congratulations on getting a wonderful daughter in your future.” Others praised the update as a subtle but charming way to welcome Swift into the family.

Ed Kelce reveals how Travis proposed
While Donna chose a quiet show of support, Ed Kelce was more forthcoming. Speaking to E! News, he revealed that the proposal happened two weeks ago at Travis‘s home in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,'” Ed said. “They got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful.”
With the engagement now official, both Donna and Ed have made it clear they are excited to welcome Taylor into the family, even if they each expressed it in their own very different ways.
