Los Angeles Lakers squandered a 12-point lead to lose 109-110 to the Orlando Magic, who were led by Paolo Banchero (36 points, 10 rebounds and six assists).Desmond Bane (22 points) certified the comeback for the Florida team with a three-pointer and Wendell Carter Jr. (20 points and 12 rebounds) made the key basket with 6.7 seconds left to seal the win for Orlando.

Mystery in Los Angeles: Why didn’t Doncic take the game-winning three-pointer and pass it to LeBron, who missed?

Luka Doncic, who had the chance to execute a game-winning three-pointer, ended up passing the ball to LeBron (who missed the game-winning shot) and his Lakers lost.

The former Real Madrid player scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 15 assists, falling one rebound short of a ‘triple-double’.

Deandre Ayton scored 21 points and 13 rebounds in Lakers loss to Magic

The best news for the Lakers was the good performance of their giant Deandre Ayton. The 2.13m center, who was the number one pick in the 2018 Draft, dominated in the paint with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

This season Ayton is averaging 13 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
