Los Angeles Lakers, with the last-minute absence of LeBron James, lost 107-91 to the Spurs and ‘Alien’ Wembanyama in their visit to San Antonio despite the tremendous triple-double of 38 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 2 steals by Luka Doncic.

Luka Doncic’s triple-double is the 86th of his NBA career and… the first he has achieved with his new Jordan Luka 5 sneakers.

Only the legendary Oscar Robertson, who did it 56 times, has more triple-doubles scoring at least 35 points than Luka Doncic (who has done it 30 times).

The other four Lakers starters scored just 31 points: Jarred Vanderbilt (2 points), Jake LaRavia (16 points), Deandre Ayton (9 points and 6 rebounds) and Marcus Smart (2 points and 7 rebounds).

Doncic was too much alone in San Antonio, as evidenced by the 53 points (35% shooting from the field), 35 rebounds, six assists and six steals that his teammates combined for

The Spurs’ bench contributed 53 points compared to the Lakers’ 22.

Luka Doncic already had 24 points at halftime and held his team together until the last quarter, in which the Spurs gave the decisive push to take the victory at home.
