The Los Angeles Lakers won 103-111 against the New Orleans Pelicans, in which Trey Murphy III went up to 42 points, in a game in which Luka Doncic and LeBron James added 60 points between the two

LeBron James, who just turned 41, scored 30 points (10 of 19 from the field), eight rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block in 33 minutes, while Luka Doncic had 30 points (11 of 22 from the field), two rebounds, 10 assists, two steals and one block in 37 minutes.

Between ‘King’ James and the former Real Madrid player scored more than half of the Lakers’ points.

The Lakers opened the final quarter with an 18-4 run led by two three-pointers from LeBron James, a three-pointer from Dalton Knecht and a couple of baskets in the paint from Ayton, which put them up 90-97.

James and Doncic, with 18 points between them in the fourth quarter, carried the weight of the Lakers’ victory.

This triumph is a new respite for coach JJ Redick, who at Christmas gave his players a wake-up call for their lack of involvement and intensity on the court.
