Donald Trump’s bold message to the Philadelphia Eagles after capturing the Super Bowl

In a recent statement, President Donald Trump expressed his eagerness to welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House. The invitation, which is reportedly “absolutely” on its way, comes after the Eagles’ victory in Super Bowl LIX.

During an executive order signing on Tuesday, President Trump mentioned his plans to invite the Super Bowl champions to the White House. This gesture follows a previous incident in 2018 when the Eagles’ visit was canceled due to a controversy over the national anthem protests.

“They will be (extended an invitation), we haven’t yet, but we will be,” Trump said. “I thought it was a great performance by them and, absolutely, they’ll be extended that invitation. … We’re going to do that sometime today and they deserve to be down here, and we hope to see them.”

Controversy around the situation

A recent report indicated that the Philadelphia Eagles had declined the invitation to the White House after winning the Super Bowl, however everything points that there has not been a real invitation by the President of the United States.

Other reports suggest that the team from the NFC will love to go, as the Eagles “would be honored to visit the White House, it’s one of the things we had looked forward to doing and we look forward to receiving the invitation.”

Despite the past tensions, the President’s latest invitation aims to celebrate the team’s success and foster a sense of unity. The Eagles, who have not yet received the official invite, are expected to visit the White House during the offseason.
